How do I get started with WipeGolf?

Getting started is easy:

  1. Download WipeGolf from the App Store on your iPhone
  2. Install the companion app on your Apple Watch
  3. Sign in with Google or Apple
  4. Complete your profile setup (handedness, watch wrist)
  5. Start your 7-day free trial of all premium features
  6. Open the watch app and start swinging!
How do I connect my Apple Watch?

Connecting your Apple Watch is automatic:

  1. Make sure WipeGolf is installed on both your iPhone and Apple Watch
  2. Open the app on your iPhone first
  3. Open the app on your Apple Watch
  4. The devices will automatically pair when both apps are open
  5. Look for the "Connected" status indicator

💡 Tip: Keep both devices within Bluetooth range for best results.

What devices are compatible?

Required:

  • iPhone running iOS 15 or later
  • Apple Watch Series 4 or newer
  • watchOS 8 or later

⚠️ Currently supports right-handed golfers wearing watch on left wrist. Left-handed support coming soon!

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime through your iPhone settings:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Select WipeGolf
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription

Note: After cancelling, you'll retain access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

To restore your subscription:

  1. Install WipeGolf on your new device
  2. Sign in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase
  3. Open the app and go to Settings
  4. Scroll to Subscription
  5. Tap Restore Purchases

Pro Tip: For best accuracy, ensure your watch fits snugly and is worn on your lead wrist (left wrist for right-handed golfers).

Can I track different club types?

Yes! WipeGolf automatically detects your swings and you can:

  • Tag swings with specific club types (driver, iron, wedge, etc.)
  • View club-specific analytics and trends
  • Compare performance across different clubs
  • Track improvement for each club type
How do I start a practice session?

Starting a session is simple:

  1. Open WipeGolf on your Apple Watch
  2. Tap the Start Session button
  3. The app will automatically detect and track your swings
  4. Check your watch for real-time feedback
  5. Tap End Session when you're done
  6. View detailed analytics on your iPhone
Does WipeGolf work without internet connection?

Yes, absolutely! Your data is automatically backed up:

Can I export my data?

Yes! You own your data and can export it anytime:

  1. Open WipeGolf on your iPhone
  2. Go to SettingsPrivacy
  3. Tap Export My Data
  4. Choose CSV format
  5. Your data will be emailed to your registered email address
How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account at any time:

  1. Open WipeGolf on your iPhone
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Scroll to Account
  4. Tap Delete Account
  5. Confirm deletion

⚠️ Warning: This permanently deletes all your data including swings, sessions, and statistics. This action cannot be undone. Export your data first if you want to keep it!

How do I change my profile settings?

Update your profile anytime:

  1. Go to Settings in the app
  2. Tap Edit Profile
  3. Update username, handedness, watch wrist, or notifications
  4. Tap Save Settings

🔧 Troubleshooting

My Apple Watch won't connect

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Ensure both devices have Bluetooth enabled
  2. Keep devices within 30 feet of each other
  3. Force quit both apps and restart
  4. Restart both iPhone and Apple Watch
  5. Check that both apps are updated to latest version
  6. Re-install the watch app if needed

Swings aren't being detected

If swings aren't being detected:

  • Ensure your watch is worn snugly on your lead wrist
  • Check that a practice session is active
  • Verify the watch app is open and active (not in background)
  • Make sure you're making full swing motions
  • Check battery level (low battery can affect sensors)
  • Recalibrate by ending and starting a new session
Data isn't syncing between devices

If your data isn't syncing:

  • Check internet connection on both devices
  • Ensure you're logged in with the same account
  • Force sync by going to Settings → Cloud Sync → Sync Now
  • Check for app updates
  • Try logging out and back in
The app keeps crashing

If the app is crashing:

  1. Force quit the app completely
  2. Restart your device
  3. Check for iOS/watchOS updates
  4. Update WipeGolf to the latest version
  5. Clear app cache in Settings
  6. If problem persists, delete and reinstall the app (your data will be safe in the cloud)
